you can’t give away secrets that belong to me;
you’re selling off shares of our friendship. you’ll see
that i tell you less, and hide much more –
i don’t want my every last confidence whored
out to the highest bidder for the cheapest laugh.
but the divulging of mystery is really just half
of it. when we walk down the street and we both spot
a girl who’s a bit overweight my heart twists into knots
’cause i know you’ll eviscerate her, cut her down
with no thought. what do you say about me when i’m not around?
